D.I.Y. with Some Help – For the person that says,
“Give me a membership and a program, and show me how to do it…please!”
This is our most popular membership package and it’s not available at any other gym. This program is ideal for those that know they need some help, think they need some help and anyone that has gone into the gym without a plan written down on paper only to get bored and eventually fall off the wagon. No matter how many exercises you know or how many you can google, if it’s not organized and designed for you by someone that has evaluated you, then your path to success is going to look like the path a chicken would take when you chase it! Time is money. Why waste your time guessing or aimlessly just doing exercises randomly? You have a goal. Training on Demand is the plan. All you have to do is execute it. As long as you can make it to the gym on your own, it will work.
How Does Training on Demand Work?
Training on Demand (TOD) was designed to keep things simple. Membership, Training, Program Design and Regular Updates all rolled into one. We start with the evaluation and it’s what sets us apart from any other gym. This is where we take a full look at you. Your vitals, the way you move, the way you breathe, your health history and most importantly, your goals. This is no ordinary assessment. If you aren’t here for weight loss as a primary goal, we won’t weigh you or measure your Body Fat. If you are carrying a little extra weight, I’m not going to challenge you to see how many push-ups you can do. It’s not relevant. Your goals and our observations will guide the evaluation. Next we will develop a plan exclusively for you based on the data from the evaluation. Generally, it will be a routine with 2 different workouts including the warm-up, mobility work and corrective exercises. (Corrective exercises are done to help bring your body back to neutral alignment. Issues are identified in the evaluation) Then we book a 1 hour appointment to go over and demonstrate the entire routine. Finally, we will provide you with a hard copy of the program and e-mail you the program and a copy of our video exercise library just in case you forget how to do an exercise. Then in a month or two (depends on your plan) you will meet with the trainer again for an hour where they will give you a new routine and spend and hour with them for the demonstration.
If I’m a current D.I.Y. member, how do I integrate it with my membership?
Super easy! Depending on the type of membership you have and the TOD plan you want, we will either cancel your membership and start from new if you are on a monthly payment plan or pro-rate what is left on your membership if you paid in full. Either way, it won’t be a hassle.
What is the commitment and what are the options?
Keep in mind this package includes your membership and the first month includes a 60 minute evaluation, program design and then 1 hour of training. It’s designed to set you up for long term success. Therefore we have two terms to choose from, 12 months or 6 months and two program revision options, monthly or bi-monthly.
12 Month Term with Monthly Program Revision – This includes the evaluation, 12 month gym membership, monthly program design and 1 hour of training each month for the program demonstration.
12 Month Term with Bi-Monthly Program Revision – This includes the evaluation, 12 month gym membership, bi-monthly program design and 1 hour of training every other month for the program demonstration.
6 Month Term with Monthly Program Revision – This includes the evaluation, 6 month gym membership, monthly program design and 1 hour of training each month for the program demonstration.
6 Month Term with Bi-Monthly Program Revision – This includes the evaluation, 6 month gym membership, bi-monthly program design and 1 hour of training every other month for the program demonstration.
These terms are “perpetual” meaning that at the end of the term, if paid monthly, it will renew on a month to month basis until you cancel or change your plan.
Note: Terms can be paid in full or on a monthly payment plan. If choosing a monthly payment plan, new members will be charged a one time $49 finance fee in addition to the membership price.
What if I need/want more help between revisions?
No worries, we’ve got you covered. We have Training Packages that can be used to fill that void. They are sold in packages of 6, 12, 24, 36 or 50 sessions as either 1 hour or 30 min. per session. You can buy a package and use it when ever you want during the term of your TOD plan. For example; during the month you want/need your trainer to take you through the workout for motivation or an extra set of eyes, you can just use one of those sessions from the package. Keep in mind, if you just have a simple question about an exercise, we are here to help. There is no charge to simply refresh your memory when it gets the farts. Ha Ha.
How do I get Started!
I’m glad you asked! Because this program is front end loaded, meaning that we spend the most amount of time with you initially and in a private setting, we have to do this by appointment only. Our friendly front desk staff will get your paperwork started and will book your Functional Movement Evaluation. This is first come first served with respect to appointment times but not to worry, we will open up time slots to accommodate if needed.
Do you have specific needs or goals that you would like discuss first?
We know you may have questions that are best answered in person. Even more important to know is whether or not we are a good fit for you. It’s not necessary to purchase a membership before you get answers to those questions.
We are happy to sit down with you to discuss your needs, go over prices and address any concerns. This is a great first step in the right direction. As you will see, our consults are very detailed, we do not miss a beat. And when it’s you’re health and fitness on the line… you’ll be glad we don’t.
